S.I.C Vol 18 (Part 2) : Riderman

Greetings heroes/citizens, today I continue reviewing the S.I.C vol.18 Riderman, I already review Kamen Rider V3, you can read it here. I’m going to write a short review this time, only the design and maybe I’ll touch on some flaw issues of this Riderman.

Design and sculpt; first time I saw him, one thing that popped in my mind was cellulite don’t get me wrong I love the way Ando redesign Riderman, but if you look at his thigh it is a bit out of proportions. Too big, making the figure anatomy out of shape.I try my best too get the right angle when shooting him, to hide his secret Other than that there is no other flaw or thing that I hate about the design. The sculpt is superb, especially the head sculpt. Riderman had never look this great before. The head sculpt consist of two parts the human face and the mask, although they were glued together, it looks like you can take off the mask and reveal his face. The antennas are easy to put on and good enough to stay there while I’m playing with it. You can see the hair was sculpted to show the detail of the head sculpt. Not a single piece on Riderman were made with chogokin, except the screws.

Included in this set is a holster, for his gun, it’s removable. Because Riderman is a humanoid/robotic/cyborg, kind of Kamen Rider, he can take off his right hand and replace it with more than half dozens of combination of weaponry. So, when you take off his right hand, where will you put it? Dun,dun,dun… don’t worry, just hang it on the back of his belt, hehe they sure think of everything, don’t they?

Articulations; not bad but, because this is the older version of S.I.C the articulations does have some limits. For example his arm, if you look at the picture I took him, holding his right hand up, that is the best he can bend his arm. So as his knees, they can’t bend too much or it will popped off.

Colors; no complain, I love the style of the coloring. The whole body were painted with flat black and washed with green (oxidized copper) color. By doing so it out stands the carved linings of the figure.

Accessories; more than half dozens of combination. There are chogokin claws, harpoons, drill and hooks. Other than that there are a machine gun, chained hammer and I think it’s called Octopus hand.
