Halo 3: Brute Stalker.

Greetings heroes/citizens, today I’ll continue my review of the Halo 3 action figures series. I’m going to review Brute Stalker, I’m guessing he is an enemy or the bad guy in the game. Please forgive me, I don’t play Halo’s games just like the action figure  This will be a brief review as most of the things done to the action figure basically are very much the same with McFarlane Toys line. I’ll focus more on the design. This action figure fall in “Campaign” category, I guess you only found him in campaign mode.

Packaging; just a simple carded packaging, some twisties and tapes to hold the figure and accessories.

Design/sculpt; Brute Stalker is huge, compared to other Spartan Soldiers. I’m not sure if it’s in right scale as in the game, compared to the Spartans, but he is huge. The mask/face armor, can be removed. I like that feature, you can see what is underneath the mask. I’m impressed that they can make a removable mask for a 6 inch figure without loosing the quality aspects of the design for the figure.Without the mask you can see the detail of the sculpt on his face. The sculpts for the armored suit are also impressive. I like the patterns on his body’s armor.

Articulations; same with the Spartan Soldier, it got a set of great articulations. Most of the joints are ball joint, only a few swivel joint. The only complain is the armor on his shin, limited the ability of the articulation on the ankle.

Colors, nice and clean, but the face is a bit messy. But for a mass produced toys it can be forgiven.

Accessories; not much, just a pair of guns, a mask and a couple of extra pegs. I found the use for one of the pegs, it can be attached to right leg and hold the gun. I tried to find another holes on the other leg, but there is none.

Collectors values; never buy a toy just to follow the trend, buy what you think you like, and I really like this.
